Dancehall is the explosive Jamaican street dance style that evolved from reggae culture, characterised by its heavy, grounded movement vocabulary, sharp isolations and freestyle expression. From moves like the Dutty Wine and Bogle to choreography by top Jamaican artists, dancehall workshops and battles are a growing fixture at urban dance festivals worldwide. Both partner and solo styles are danced at events across Europe, North America and the Caribbean.
